Sampler
The
Sampler is used to
produce a sample of a large list according to the options you
indicate.
To
get a sample you need specify your large list as the input
file, define the output file, set the
necessary processing mode and click “Go”.
Processing modes
Using
the Sampler you
can choose one of the following processing modes:
Select every Nth address
starting at address: Select this mode if you just need to
pick every N-th address from your input list. You can also
specify the address to start from. There are two ways to
indicate the starting address: either with its ordinal number
(e. g. 2, 12, etc.) or just by naming it (e. g.
lisa@aol.com).
Random sample of N
addresses: Select this mode if you need to get a random
sample of a certain number of addresses (N) from your input
list. No duplicates will be present in the sample.
Pick a consecutive block
of N addresses starting at address:
Select this mode if you need
to get N successive addresses from your input list, starting
with a certain one. Like in the 1st processing
mode, there are two ways to indicate the starting address:
either with its ordinal number or with its name.
