Separator
Use the Separator to separate
the list of e-mail addresses by domains and then arrange the
addresses within domain (sorts, randomizes, etc.).
To speed up noticeably the mailing process it’s
advised to have your e-mail addresses sorted by domains. On
the other hand, in some cases you may quite the contrary need
your e-mails list be randomized. Each of these problems can be
solved using the Separator.
Generally, the Separator can be used
to arrange your list in one of the three ways:
- Separating the list by its
various domains and sorting in alphabetical order within
each domain.
- Separating the list by its
various domains, then randomizing within each domain.
- Randomizing the whole list.
Attention! Please make sure that your
input file is a standard ListMotor lists (one item per line,
sorted, no duplicates). The easiest way to avoid problems is
to run the file through the Cleaner.
Processing modes and options
With the Separator you can use
the following processing modes:
By
Domain and Sort: Select this
option if you need your e-mails list to be separated by
domains, and the addresses sorted alphabetically within each
domain. The domains will also follow in alphabetical
order.
Example of the resulting
list:
joe@aol.com
lisa@aol.com
info@berlin.de
joe@berlin.de
linform@berlin.de
news@berlin.de
manager@business.info
nick_127@hotmail.com
alex@some.net
alex@yahoo.com
jbrown@yahoo.com
By
Domain and Randomize:
Select this option if you need your e-mails list to be
separated by domains, and the addresses randomized (placed in
an arbitrary order) within each domain. The domains will still
follow in the alphabetical order.
Example of the resulting
list:
lisa@aol.com
joe@aol.com
info@berlin.de
news@berlin.de
joe@berlin.de
linform@berlin.de
manager@business.info
nick_127@hotmail.com
alex@some.net
jbrown@yahoo.com
alex@yahoo.com
Randomize Whole File:
Select this option if you need your e-mails list to be
completely randomized. Neither e-mail addresses nor domains
are supposed to follow in alphabetical order.
Example of the resulting
list:
linform@berlin.de
info@berlin.de
alex@yahoo.com
joe@berlin.de
joe@aol.com
jbrown@yahoo.com
news@berlin.de
lisa@aol.com
nick_127@hotmail.com
alex@some.net
manager@business.info
For the first two processing modes the Separator also offers
some further processing options. Please note that with the
mode “Randomize Whole File” these options are not allowable. The
options are:
Kick
out these bad domains: If
you want to remove from our output file all addresses which
belong to some certain domains, select this option and specify
the file containing the “bad domains” list. Please note that
the list must contain only “pure” domain names, without the
sign “@”.
You can also specify the file to save the
e-mails which were “kicked out” to analyze them later.
Reject domains having less
than or equal to … occurrences: Select this option if you
want to keep in your result file only the addresses which
belong to the domains entering the input file that many times
or more. You can also specify the file to save the e-mails
which were rejected to analyze them later.
Create separate files for the
following domains: Select this option if you
need to single out into separate files all e-mail addresses
which belong to some certain domains (for each domain a
separate file will be created). Also specify the file
containing the list of these domains. Please keep in mind that
the list must contain only “pure” domain names, without the
sign “@”.
Please note also that the
suitable e-mail addresses will not be removed from the output
file; they will be present both there and in the separate
files referring to their domains.
Separate file for each
country code: Select this option if you need to single out
into separate files all e-mail addresses which belong to
national domains (for each national domain a separate file
will be created). Also specify the file containing the list of
top-level national domains (country codes). By default, the
list of top-level national domains (country codes) is stored
in the file “country-domain.txt”, in the sub-folder “Config”
of ListMotor’s main folder.
The file containing national
addresses for one top-level national domain (country code) is
named by the scheme “country-domain-<country code>.txt”
(e. g. “country-domain-de.txt”). If there are no e-mail
addresses for some country code, the empty file will not be
created.
Please note that the suitable
e-mail addresses will not be removed from the output file;
they will be present both there and in the separate files
referring to their country codes.
